The Reverend Steven Epperson came to this congregation in 2002 as the parish minister to fulfill the traditional role.

The Unitarian Church of Vancouver has been active in recent years in expanding its ministries. Reverend Epperson has promoted the concept of shared ministry, in which members of the congregation minister to each other.

Since the congregation is active in social justice causes, it now sponsors a community minister, Rev. Laura Imayoshi, whose ministry extends to the Downtown East Side.

In 2010 and 2011, UCV revived its role as a teaching church by engaging ministerial intern Joe Cherry. After his ordination, Reverend Cherry served as a hospital chaplain in San Francisco for several months and in January 2012 was appointed interim minister at the UU Fellowship of Stanislaus County, CA.

Finally, the congregation is working to establish ministries on university and college campuses, and among young adults.
