Sunday Coffee Hour

12 noon, Hewett Centre hall

Every Sunday after the service, the beverage servers group provides coffee and tea while we get together to socialize, have lunch, then go on to the forum or to our Sunday afternoon activities. Be sure to join us.
Sunday Lunch Schedule

Lunch is served on selected Sundays at 12 noon in Hewett Centre hall immediately following the worship service. The currently scheduled lunches are:

June   2: The Choir
June 16: Environment Committee
June 23: Refugee Committee

Serving Sunday lunches is a great way for UCV groups and committees to raise funds for their projects and special needs while providing a service for our congregation. Help us promote fellowship at UCV by serving a lunch. Check the Bulletin for contact details.
Third Sunday Book Club
All are welcome

The book club meets every third Sunday in Lindsey-Priestly Room. Everyone is welcome to come. Each person chooses a book to present on a Sunday and leads a discussion. If you have a book you're excited about, come to a session and arrange for a date to present it. Or, come to listen and join the discussion.

Book Bash

Several times a year the Library Committee organizes a sale of donated used books in the alcove of Hewett Centre before and after the Sunday service. On Book Bash Sundays the books are organized for sale to church goers and anyone else who happens to be present on that day. The proceeds are used to buy new books and to support the church.

Watch for notices advertising the sale and asking for donations of books. The library also welcomes donations of books any Sunday. We accept books in good condition only, without marked pages. Please, no magazines, tapes, encyclopedias, computer or business books, textbooks, or former library books.
Forum
Presentation and discussion
The Forum provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and opinions on issues relevant to Unitarians, led by invited speakers. It is held from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Fireside Room in Hewett Centre. Check the Bulletin, the order of service, or this website for details on the topics and speakers. For more information, contact Mary Bennett, Forum coordinator.

Meditation
Every Sunday
10 – 10:45 am, Meditation Room, Hewett Centre
You are welcome to join us for a walking meditation for the first 15 minutes, and half an hour of sitting meditation. The format varies slightly but is mainly a silent meditation.

We also offer discussions after each session ending in time for you to attend the service. We will provide brief instructions on how to meditate for anyone who asks. If you come late or leave early, please do so quietly.
