| Phyllis Bassett
|
Phyllis is an educator with the Vancouver School Board and currently teaches adults. As well, she is the mother of three adult children and has one fabulous grandchild. She has been a Unitarian since the mid 80’s. She loves to explore this fabulous west coast environment in which we are blessed to live. She also enjoys reading, walking, taking photographs and, currently, taking care of her son’s large but lovable dog.

| Nan Gregory

Nan Gregory has deep family ties to the Unitarian Church. She currently volunteers in Children’s Religious Education teaching Spirit Play to the youngest of our community. She has been a professional storyteller to all ages for going on thirty years, and is the author of award-winning books for children. She has been happily married for twenty-five years and is surpassingly fond of her son, his family, and all her grandchildren.

| Sherry King

Sherry has been a member of the congregation since 1973 and has served in a number of ways over the years both within our local church community and across the wider denomination. She sat on many committees and was twice on the board of UCV. In her denominational work she was involved with Leadership School both as a leader and board member for six years and worked as part of the Conflict Management Team for about 12 years both here and in eastern Canada. Sherry has recently retired from a fulfilling career as a child and family therapist in the area of community mental health. Sherry has two grown daughters and two grandchildren.

| Nicola Hamilton
|
Nicola has been involved with the Unitarian Church since she was a child. She has held various leadership positions within the denomination, including directing a Unitarian church choir, deaning an Eliot Institute conference, and chairing a district Young Adult committee. A passionate believer in the power of music to inspire and build community, she is the long-time director of Out in Harmony, Vancouver's LGBTQ and friends choir, and the soprano lead in UCV's Chalice Choir. She lives in East Vancouver with her wife and a small menagerie.
