Annual Contributions
Our church is supported by voluntary contributions from its members and friends. The majority of these contributions are based on pledging. A yearly canvass is organized every spring for pledges starting the following July 1st.

| Thrift Sale
|
Raising Money & Having Fun
This fundraising event takes place each summer. On Sundays during June, July, and August, special sales of clothing, electrical goods, books, household items, and collectibles are held for church members. These sales, which raise a lot of money for the work of the church, also provide opportunities for fun and fellowship. Coordinators and volunteers to help in all aspects of the sale are always needed. Watch for the notices asking for volunteers and announcing the sales early in the summer.

| Services Auction

Goes to the Highest Bidder
The Services Auction is held annually or bi-annually, depending on the judgment of the organizers. It is a party that comprises dinner, an auction of services and the fun of bidding, and fellowship.
Members and friends of the church offer a service, instruction, a piece of art, or some article of interest, all of which are auctioned at the Services Auction party. The highest bidder receives the item or service and the church receives the proceeds.
The auction is organized by several members who are always looking for new ideas. If you have any suggestions or would like to help with the Services Auction please call Rae Smith or John Smith, 604.732.0100.

| Book Bashes
|
Wide Range of Titles
Several times a year a sale of used books is held in the alcove of Hewett Centre after the Sunday worship service. Members of the church donate books to the church library for the sale. On Book Bash Sundays the books are organized by the Library Committee and sold to other members of the church. The Book Bash provides funds for new books and the work of our excellent church library. Watch for notices advertising the sale and asking for donations of books.The library also welcomes donations of books any Sunday.

| Sunday Lunches

After the Service
Many members enjoy having lunch or snacks after the church service. Church groups prepare the lunches or snacks, donating at least 10 percent to the church. We welcome all church committees, groups, and even families, to provide lunch on occasion.
